In collaboration with the renowned International Storytelling Festival “Geschichtenoase,” we proudly present the second edition of this captivating storytelling event. Bedtime Stories brings the best storytellers from Switzerland and beyond to Zürich and the middle of our hotel life. Kicking off the series is Swiss storyteller and Geschichtenoase founder, Sibylle Baumann, alongside flautist Tania Pimenova. Following this, brace yourself for two spine-chilling evenings that will take you across the entire hotel, featuring British storyteller Deborah Newsbold, Sweden’s Mikael Öberg, and Baumann herself, performing in easy-to-follow English and Swiss German.

 
(Not quite) a forgotten art form

 
Storytelling is as old as humanity itself and, over the millennia, has lost none of its magic. For generations, knowledge and experiences were passed down through the art of storytelling. Vivid, imaginative tales, both real and fictional, are shared from person to person. As listeners, we each create our own versions of the story, often surprised by how easily this performance art draws us in. A storyteller is a director, actor, playwright, and designer all in one—a form of theatre stripped down to its purest essence.
 

Bedtime Stories Part 1 – Der verlorene Mann

In the former Hürlimann Brewery’s Maschinenhalle, you’ll hear chilling tales of a haunted house, a ghost that didn’t want to be a ghost anymore, and a talking head without a body. Spooky entertainment awaits.

A night-time tour of the B2 Hotel: Guests will experience three storytellers in three unexpected locations. The mystical dark tales reveal the journeys of far-travelled ghosts. Autumnal and (un)chained.
